I have done a lot of work with La Bella Bride, some being last year at New York Wedding Fashion Week, I had a booth at their 2010 Bridal Expo, and I had quite a bit of editorial in their 2010 issue! I hope you like the 2011 issue as mush as I do! It is filled with all sorts of fun goodies!

Sara's Shooting Legs
This blog post is in honor of Yvonne and Matt who I just saw this past weekend while I was photographing their friends wedding. Stay posted for wedding blog (soon to come as we are busy editing away). However, it is a running joke with my clients that I come with my step stool on the job. It gives me a shocking 5 feet. :)
We have decided that I am going to BeDazzle my step stool and we are open for suggestions!

Reason, Season and a Lifetime-Poem
Below is a poem that I find myself looking at all the time. I just love it and what it stands for. Today's posting is a "just because" posting and I wanted to share it with you all.
People always come into your life for a reason, a season and a lifetime. When you figure out which it is, you know exactly what to do.
When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed outwardly or inwardly. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, or to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally, or even spiritually. They may seem like a godsend to you, and they are. They are there for a reason, you need them to be. Then, without any wrong doing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they die, Sometimes they just walk away. Sometimes they act up or out and force you to take a stand. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilleed; their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered and it is now time to move on.
When people come into your life for a SEASON, it is because your turn has come to share, grow, or learn. They may bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done. They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy. Believe it! It is real! But, only for a season. And like Spring turns to Summer and Summer to Fall, the season eventually ends.
LIFETIME, relationships teach you a lifetime of lessons; those things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation. Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person/people (anyway);, and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas in your life. It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant. Thank you for being part of my life.....

Vegas Weddings?
I just got back from a really fun destination wedding in Vegas! While I was pursuing the city, It really hit me how many wedding chapels there are in Vegas. I just happened to step into one chapel, and pick up a pamphlet.
Anyone planning on eloping? I mean, I can't beat their package price of $70, but I am fun to be with! :)

Meet Lauren
- My friends are my family and my family are my friends
- Prize possession: my diner’s card to the local Mexican Restaurant
- Ready to be the sidekick to any concert
- Fresh Air…ahhhhh
So they say, variety is the spice of life. I channel my formal photography education at BU, with my real world experiences to harness my creative juices. I am constantly seeking out unique inspiration in the everyday world. I carry this theory not only through the metaphor but also through the actual experience itself. I’m not the girl who orders the entrée; I’m the one who samples all seven appetizers. Everyday I get to sample a glimpse of someone’s life. I observe and freeze time with a click of my shutter!
I have had the luxury of traveling all around the world but my roots have always been in little Rhody. I love to see life through the viewfinder. I don’t feel that I found this profession, it found me. I get to enjoy the variety that life has to offer but still stay close enough to continue to snap quirky photos of my family.
….When I am not behind the lens , I am behind the screen mastering the modern techniques of photography…. Some may say I have an intimate relationship with Photoshop. Cannon and Adobe fill my career variety. My family, my friends, my boyfriends, my sitcoms (not necessarily in that order) fill my personal spice for life.

One Happy Dad!
I am sometimes asked by my clients....How do you work all these hours (giving up your weekends...)?
I simply say I LOVE WHAT I DO! Below is a perfect example of my reward at the end of the day. I was honored to photograph Jessica and Kenny's wedding this past weekend 9/5/10 at the Biltmore; to my surprise I woke up yesterday morning (the day after) to this wonderful email from the father of the bride. I JUST HAD TO SHARE THIS WITH YOU ALL.
Thank you very much Dick and Jane for your kind words.

Fun idea!
Looking for something new and fun to do for a really different centerpiece? We came across this cool idea and wanted to share it with you! Check it out:
If you're throwing a party for someone's anniversary or birthday, the guest of honor will shine with a set of photo frame lanterns. They consist of three hinged photo frames set around votive candles. The black-and-white photos are printed onto ecru-colored vellum paper, which is translucent enough for the images to be visible by candlelight.

They consist of three hinged photo frames set around votive candles. The black-and-white photos are printed onto ecru-colored vellum paper, which is translucent enough for the images to be visible by candlelight.
Here's the Photo Centerpiece "How-To":
-Disassemble three like-sized frames, setting aside their fronts and discarding their backings.
-Paint or stain wooden frames desired color; let dry.
-Upload or scan photographs into a computer.
-With editing software, make the images black and white and resize them to fit your frames.
-Print them onto vellum paper with an ink-jet printer.
-Slip the images into the frames.
-Using cloth tape, hinge frames together to form a triangle.
-Stand frames around a candle in a protective glass holder.
Pretty neat, huh?

Birthday Bash
So, we here at Sara Zarrella Photography took a little time to cut loose and let our hair down down to join Sara in celebrating her 30'th birthday! (Besides, it was good excuse to party with friends, family and our couples before the season kicked in ... that's when time for breathing becomes rather limited around here. haha)
Many of our friends are the vendors we work with at weddings and they all came together to join the celebration too and provided their amazing talents to make the night a smashing success! (They also know how to really party! Well, 'cuz it's their business!)
Emily, from Paper Moss, happened to also be celebrating her birthday, so (unbeknownst to her) we made sure that there was a special cake waiting for her. Tiff from Tiff's Wicked Cakes absolutely blew us away with the cake she designed! Not only was it a pure work of art - it was DELICIOUS!!! (Just sayin'.)
The house was shakin' and quakin' with Victor from Party Time DJ's spinning discs all night. Again, our "Friendors" are in the serious business of making the party rock!
We also had a Photo Booth, which (for the adventurous crew amongst us ... in other words, everyone) proved to be a highlight of the evening, to put it mildly!
Jay from Golden Gate Studios did a magnificent job creating the florals (as always) and Scrumptions baked yummy goodness into the party favors that matched the awesome invitations by Paper Moss.
The night couldn't have been any better! Thank you to EVERYONE!!!!

The party "fLavors" hehe! Scrumptions did a terrific job matching the invites!!!

Here's Victor from Party Time DJ's ... hard at play!
Sara helpin' with the spinnin' was a sight and sound to behold!
Yeah, Sara, don't quit your day job! hahaha

A life-size cardboard cutout made for the photo opportunities
in the Photo Booth was a busy little bee all evening.
Appropriately, Kassie (our intern), named it "Sara Jr."
