Rachael and Adam

A few images from Rachael and Adam's recent engagement session in Jamestown. They are high school sweethearts and will be tying the knot next spring in Newport. They love the City by the Sea and chose to have their wedding at the Atlantic Beach Club. Our afternoon in Jamestown included a stop at the gelato shop -- my kind of photo shoot!

Check out their slideshow to see more images of this fun couple.

Update: Rachael and Adam are now married!

Sara Hard at Work

Patty and Matt make a stop in Newport at the Ida Lewis Park, a great spot for photographs of the water. Here Sara captures the stunning background and the happy newlyweds.

Press

A big THANK YOU to all the magazines that have featured our work! We are always very pleased and excited to be recognized by these leaders in the wedding and photography industry.

Southern New England Weddings sets the standard for wedding magazines in the New England area. It is full of resources and is beautifully designed. One of the featured weddings in the current issue is from the wedding of Stacey and Todd at Blithewold Mansion. Other images that appear in the magazine represent the best of floral, cake design and romance. Pick up a copy at your local bookstore.

Love, love, LOVE the image of the sunlight on the bride's shoulder.

The current issue of Newport Weddings published a feature wedding of one of our couples, Crystal and Lee, married at OceanCliff in Newport, Rhode Island last summer.

The beauty and details of Crystal and Lee's OceanCliff wedding are on full display in this feature article. Their gorgeous cake was rated a full page. Thank you to their photo editor for including this image!

An article about engagements featured several of our images.

Boston Weddings magazine has images featured from a recent charity event, Brides Against Breast Cancer. It was a pleasure to be involved with such a worthy fund raiser. Hats off to Bloomingdale's for sponsoring this event! Boston Weddings is full of resources for wedding planning. Florists, venues, bakeries and current fashion are all part of the focus of the magazine to help the bride plan her ultimate wedding extravaganza

The Knot : Florida and Boston

A photograph of Josh and Edith appears in "Parting Shot," the last page of Bride & Groom Magazine (Summer, 2008).

We are honored to have been featured in a few articles in this issue of Bride & Groom Magazine (Fall 2007).

"Out is In" was an article about the trends in ceremonies. It tells how more and more brides in New England are getting married outside. I had the pleasure of being interviewed along with having my images published from a few of my outdoor weddings from that year.

This issue of Bride & Groom features a Newport wedding at the Eisenhower House. The spectacular views of Narragansett Bay and Newport Harbor made for a beautiful venue to photograph.
It also features a very unique photograph of a bridal couple that I took earlier that fall. The foliage provided a spectacular backdrop for the shot, taken during the last few minutes of daylight which provided us with "sweet light". We have this image hanging in the studio printed on metallic paper to give it a shimmering glow... everyone who sees it always gives it a rave review.
I still shoot for InStyle Magazine! It is a nice change from time to time to get to go to New York for my photoshoots.
Labella Magazine

Southern New England Baby Magazine
South County Living (Spring 2009) had a wedding and bride issue dedicated to weddings and the planning of weddings in New England. This is an image from Beavertail for a feature article entitled, "Ten Great Places to Say 'I Do'":
.
We did the cover and cover story for Digital Dealer Magazine. A story on Bob Tasca III
We shot the cover of Rhode Island Magazine along with the cover story. Not a bad gig...got to shoot in some of Rhode Island largest houses.
I traveled all over the United States to photograph the interiors and exteriors of luxery homes for Home and Design Magazine .
We got the cover and cover story for Florida Architecture. Sitting on this porch was just a perfect way to spend your work day!
Cover image for Student Body Shots a book written by a comedian about the fun and interesting lifestyle of a college student.
Time Out New York features images of food, shows, actors, models and all of New York's hottest entertainment in this local magazine.

Shutterbug Magazine featured one of my first published images "A Child's Innocence" -- a shot that I took while studying in Italy.

One day I placed my camera down and relaxed in a piazza Florence and a little boy caught my attention; he was playing and skipping around. He sat down for a quick break on a step in front of a resting man. I recognized this moment and grabbed my camera to take the photograph. This image made me realize the power of a photograph and is still one of my favorites today.

LaBella Bride Magazine: Vermont Photoshoot

I am so pleased to announce that we will be featured in LaBella Bride Magazine: 2009 Issue. Although we can not show you some of the great photographs that were taken at the shoot (you will just have to wait till its release) I will take you behind the scenes.

LaBella Bride Magazine
1006 Reservoir Avenue
2nd floor
Cranston, RI 02910

My alarm clock went off on Wednesday morning at 4:00am (Eeeeww!! haha). Being a nigh owl this was not the most flattering hour for me. Still, I was out the door and ready to hop in the car with the crew of LaBella Bride Magazine. Where were we going? The Pitcher Inn in Warren, Vermont.

Arrival Time: 8:00am We moved into full force for a full day of photoshoots. Ari Sadri, the general manager of the Inn, greeted us and gave us the grande tour. A+ in hospitality! This is Vermont's little gem! The Pitcher Inn epitomizes Vermont's charm. Each room represents select aspects of the State: History, Character, Environment, Sports and Society - all intertwined with comforts that could satisfy a King and Queen.

Every room has so much detail and I am going to go out on a limb here and say I was in the "Hunting Room". It had detailed wood mouldings made to look like grass and my ceiling was a hand panted sky. There were duck statues and, oh yes ... a case locked up of "mock" guns. After getting settled in to our rooms it was time to start to shoot. (Oh look - a pun! lol)

Tabletops, invitations, bouquets and floral arrangements where created by some of the best local vendors. Mountain Flower Farm, The Pink Shutter, Alison Bucholz-Ellis, Storied Events, Lassod Moon, Admire Designs, Blomma Flicka Flowers, Flora Latte, Perennial Studio, The Blue Toad and The Painted Tulip. We ended with some food shots from the The Pitcher Inn. YAY - food shots - my favorite!!!! Yum Yum!!

Brides, you are going to love the ideas these vendors "brought to the table". The color schemes that are coming out are so beautiful and romantic. Some of the latest colors featured in the year's palette are Lemon Sherbert, Eggplant, Marigold, Peach Puff and Sunset Orange - WOW! We photographed all day to bring you the very best ideas and images for 2010 weddings and Katina LaFazia (Editor) had every detail planned out and kept us right on schedule!

Just putting the finishing touches on the floral arrangement for our first tabletop setting.
I had help from Jay and Jamie, part of the LaBella Bride Magazine team. They assisted me all day - thanks guys! They helped me with everything from lighting to setting up and providing the humor/entertainment! (It was not all work - there was some play.) This shot is entitled, "Always a bridesmaid never a bride."
One of the over fifty lights we had set up to spot light every little detail for the tabletop and florals. I was keeping my fingers crossed that we were not going to blow a fuse!
My favorite part of the photoshoot was shooting in their wine cellar where a very romantic table top was set. Candlelight, pink and white roses for a hint!! I cannot cheat and show you the images -- you will just have to wait till December when LaBella Bride Magazine launches its 2010 Issue.

The day ended perfectly! We all got to sit down and enjoy the pleasures of the table and food. As a member of Vermont Fresh Network, the Inn is committed to using the freshest local and regional ingredients which means Executive Chef, Sue Schickler, is able to change the menus seasonally and introduce special dishes based on the bounty of the local market on a daily basis. What culinary mastery!!!! Her inspirations include France, Italy and the Pacific Rim. We had a five course meal and not a single morsel or crumb was left to be found!!! I'm also not afraid to admit that I may have sampled a bite from everyone's plates too!! heehee
We did a quick sightseeing drive and let me tell you, Vermont has some truly breathtaking sights (even from the backseat of an SUV). This image was actually shot with my handy-dandy little "point-and-shoot"right through the car window!
