50th Anniversary Celebration

May 16th of 2009 marked the 50th Wedding Anniversary of Gladys and Morris. Their children organized a spectacular surprise party to celebrate this landmark event.

The event was held at 3 Restaurant in Franklin, MA. Edna, one of Gladys and Morris' daughters, was primarily at the helm and organized most of the festivities. Her creativity and management skills were astounding. Somehow, she managed to keep the enormity of this gathering a complete secret from her parents. They were completely shocked and thrilled. Kudos to you, Edna!!!

Glady and Morris thought they were just going out for a quiet anniversary dinner only to be surprised that the evening would have so much more in store for them. Edna arranged to have an entire wardrobe ready upon their arrival for them to change into (as you'll see ... they have a change of clothes). She also arranged for them to be able to renew their vows and have all their loved ones there to witness the precious gift of their continued love for one another.

The entire celebration was inspired and designed around a single photo-booth strip of images that was taken of the couple over 50 years ago. She managed to have a photo-booth brought to the venue so that they could recreate the photos ... and they were more than happy to oblige! The photo-strip image theme was woven into their guestbook, the centerpieces and guest favors. Again, Edna's creativity is exquisite.

As a wedding photographer, I always get to see "new" love as couples start writing the first chapters of their lives together. Photographing Gladys and Morris' 50th Wedding Anniversary was an absolutely precious experience and I was honored to be a part of it. Thank you Edna for letting me be included in your family's memorialization of your parent's love! After observing the love your parents share ... I totally understand why I could feel the love that was flowing throughout the room all evening! What a magnificent night spent with a truly wonderful and special family!

The tables resemble handless clock-faces. "TIMELESS"
