Nicole and John are engaged!

Hearing Nicole and John were engaged...I could not wait to have the honor of capturing their engagement shoot. The theme of the big wedding day is vintage movies! It was only fitting that we would do the shoot at a theater.

I photographed Nicole's sister Jaclyn and Christian engagement shoot earlier last year. We all have been friends for some time now. PS Nicole is a aunt of two beautiful newborn twins. Congratulations Jaclyn and Christian!

Nicole and John told me all the details of their engagement. After being together for a few years, John proposed over the holidays! I look forward to seeing the final design of The Save The Date cards by Valerie Marini owner of The Paper Perfectionist.

Nicole and John will be married at the Aldrich Mansion this summer. I am positive that their theater themed wedding will be a 5 star production!

Check it out!!! We've been featured throughout the entire LaBalla Bride "Return to Romance" issue ... on stands NOW! This is the first time the magazine has been published nationally and we're so very glad to be a part of LaBalla Bride's expansion! This issue includes tons of work we photographed ranging from tabletop details, florals and food that was photographed for the Vermont Photo Shoot, to the Bridal Show at Fashion Week / NYC in October, 2009 ... all the way up to and including a full spread featuring one of our couples, Erika and Matt, and their Cedar Key, Florida wedding! Kimya and Jason Willow Heights- Morgan Hill, CA.

When Kimya and Jason called me, they told me that they wanted me to photograph their wedding here in June 2011. Of course I said yes, but then they told me that they were going to have two weddings! Kimya is from California and Jason is from Rhode Island. It is only fitting to do one at Kirkbrae Country Club in June 2011, and the other in sunny California! We set up an engagement shoot to get to know one another, and as I got to know them, I knew that photographing two of their weddings was going to be special. We also did a The Dress Session at Gerald's Farm before the big day in California. Check out those images which are featured in this years Southern New England Wedding Magazine.

Kimya and Jason flew out the Sara Zarrella Team to California for their big day! On the beautiful morning of October 16th, 2010, my day started when I met up with Kimya before the ceremony! She was glowing with excitement in her eyes. Kimya and her girls where getting ready at the Willow Heights Mansion, while I snapped some intimate moments. Before Kimya would meet Jason for the first time that day, I rushed over to the next city to meet up with Jason for some photos with his guys. When Kimya and Jason locked eyes for the first time on their wedding day, we where they to capture it. The emotion that surrounded them was like an aurora and I couldn't help but smile.

Kimya and Jason will be joining two traditions, their California wedding was influenced by her Persian culture. They vowed to be together for eternity while overlooking the California hills. The happy couple will be having their "Italian-Catholic" ceremony here in Rhode Island next year and I simply can not wait! I wish you both all the best! Southern New England Wedding Magazine 2011 just launch! The magazine is full of fun little goodies for all brides to be to enjoy! We have a great full page advertisement running this year and also are featured throughout the magazine. Feel free to pick up your free copy here at the studio.

Southern New England ask me to do a shoot for them at The Chandler in Newport, RI. I started with the florals, which happened to be designed by Toni Chandler (who has no relation to anybody in The Chandler, it just happened to be a coincidence). The florals were, to say the least, simply gorgeous!

Jill and Jay's wedding was very special to me, for more reasons then one. Jill is not only a dear friend to me now but also a childhood friend. We went to middle school, high school and college together. When she asked me to photograph her wedding, how could I refuse? I had so much fun doing it too, because not only was I the photographer, but I was a bridesmaid also! How you ask? Shhh, but I'm secretly superwoman.

Okay, so maybe I'm not superwoman, but all I know is that I had a great time shooting the lovely couple. Jill and Jay met at work, both of them working in radio sales, at the time. They hit it off from there, and Jay proposed a few years ago around the thanksgiving holidays. I knew I wouldn't be able to wait for this wedding, and when it arrived on September 18th, I was simply ecstatic.

Jill love the color tiffany blue, so naturally her reception was tastefully decorated with accents of her "fav" color (even her shoes). We laughed, we danced, we cried and we most defiantly smiled! This wedding was really a win/win for me because I got to photograph one of my best friends weddings and I also got to do what I love with a wonderful couple. Jay and Jill, I wish you all the best, and I had a great time being a bridesmaid and photographer for such an amazing couple!

Golden Gate Studios did a "wow" job on the florals.

Tiffany from Tiffs Wicked Cakes did their cake but also added a nice little treat, small Tiffany blue cakes made to look like mini Tiffany boxes for all the guest to take home...yum

Get to know Brigitte and Joshua!

The weather outside is frightful, but Brigitte and Joshua were so delightful. I enjoyed Brigitte and Joshua because of their great personalities and sincere chemistry. I knew that Brigitte was very outgoing and spunky, but at the engagement shoot, that proved to be even more true. She showed up to the engagement shoot sporting a hot pink peacoat, and Joshua wore a complimenting sweater with a fancy hat. We started shooting and I knew that they were going to be totally awesome! As we got to talking, they told me more about their 2011 wedding at Blithewold Mansion in the summer, and got me really excited! The ideas! The ideas! We came up with for photographic locations!! Stay posted :) Hey Joshua, maybe your wedding pictures will be on the cover of Better Home and Garden!

We also talked about how Brigitte and Joshua met, on an online dating site but the cutest thing about their story is the first time they really met. Joshua was hungry at work and Brigitte brought him some american chop suey to fill up that tummy! All because of one great long phone call and some home made cooking with love :)

We continued to walk, shoot and laugh around Providence in the cold, but their love really warmed us all up. When the time came for the shoot to end (our faces where getting red from the cold), we chatted some more before heading out.

I look forward to seeing Brigitte and Joshua again next August! Best wishes!

Meet Erika and Steven!

Last week, Erika, Steven and I met up and headed down to Goddard Park to do an engagement session! Of course, I had to ask my favorite question...How did you two meet? The answer... through Erika's friend! Her friend was at a childs birthday party when she met Steven. She knew Erika and Steven would hit it off. Steven got Erika's number and they chatted on the phone the first time over 3 hours. After a "blind" date, the rest is history!

Erika ended up telling me that she works as the nutritionist for Dunkin Donuts. I asked her a question she must get asked all the time; What's the healthiest thing on the menu? I thought I'd inform all of you that its the breakfast snack wraps. Umm and they are good because of course every am I order one of those with my yummy ice coffee.

They'll be hosting their fabulous 2011 wedding at Kirkbrae Country Club.

Jeannine and Billy Hyatt - Newport, RI.

Jeannine and Billy say "I do"! Before their nuptials we did an engagement shoot together, check it out.

I met up with Jeannine, on the morning of her wedding, as she got ready at the Hyatt. We were all blown away by Jeannine's beauty (she had "that" bridal glow). When Jeanine finished getting ready, we headed to the church so Jeannine could finally be united with Billy as man and wife!

Jeannine and Billy's ceremony was exceptional and full of emotion. Tears of happiness, smiles and pure bliss describes this ceremony. When their ceremony, filled with traditions, ended we cruised to the beach to snap up some formals and then drove to their reception!

Her bouquet was gorgeous, designed with white flowers accented with lavender (beautifully crafted by Twigs). Jeannine and Billy's willingness to joke was on display in the middle of their special day. Jeannine presented her sister (maid of honor) a bouquet of carnations. Jeannine's sister doesn't like carnations, so when Bobby from Twigs handed her the bouquet (he was also in on the joke), they couldn't wait for her reaction. Jeannine's sister handled the situation like any good maid of honor would with a smile and "oh it looks nice" (liar!) Of course afterwards, they gave her the real bouquet.

Jeannine and Billy are a very fun couple, but at the same time they are classy and sophisticated. I wasn't surprised when I walked into the reception and saw it tastefully decorated. The reception was overflowing with tears of joy, giggles and full of energy from their friends and family. There was even a candy bar, mmm! The night proceeded with smiles, speeches that touched our heart's and even more amusement during the cake-cutting!

Jeannine and Billy, I hope your days to come are just as enjoyable as our day was at your wedding!

NEWPORT WEDDING MAGAZINE!

If you happen to pick up a copy of Newport Weddings 2011 issue, you'll see a familiar image on the cover! A few months ago I submitted an image of mine on a whim to Newport Weddings, and I found out recently that they had picked me for their cover!

It's been an incredible journey, and I'm honored to say that my first cover is with Newport Weddings. To top it off, the couple on the cover is one of my favorite couples!

Meet Lindsey and Robert; a happy-go-lucky, in the moment couple who were an absolute joy! Their wedding date was October 30th and they had their wedding at Astor's Beechwood Mansion in Newport, Rhode Island.

Their whimsical and unique wedding was filled with giggles, dancing and....pumpkins? Even tiny little pumpkin bowls with soup delicately crafted by Russell Morin Fine Catering. Lindsey and Robert's fall themed masquerade wedding was something I've never seen before! Their reception began at six, and as you know, at six at the end of October, it's not exactly bright outside.

So Lindsey, Robert and I headed for downtown Newport, and as we ran around the town, we sporadically shot images in the hidden treasure of Thames Street. Who would have known, that right there in the middle of the cobblestone road, lay the cover image if the 2011 issue of Newport Wedding.

Julie and Kevin Red Jacket Inn-Cape Cod, MA

Celebrate with Julie and Kevin!

On September 25, 2010 I had the honor of capturing their big day at the Red Jacket Beach Resort Inn on Cape Cod. This is an east and west coast love story...Julie and Kevin met in California and after dating for a few years they relocated back in Julie's hometown of little Rhody. Their wedding was nothing short of a huge celebration. They both had wonderful friends and family supporting them as they said their vows while the sun was setting outside over looking the beach. Emotions where huge as Julie eyes watered up as she saw her husband to be for the first time.

I met up with Julie prior to her wedding, we snapped away with her and her girls. Then we headed over to see Kevin and took some fun photos of him and his crew. It was important to the couple to do photos prior as they wanted to take part in the celebrations after the ceremony. Golden Gate Studios created the flowers which where a rich color scheme of magenta, purple and hints of yellow.

In all the weddings I have captured NEVER have the wedding party including the bride and groom jumped into the pool after the big event. I had a lot of fun photographing and this crew knows how to dance and have a great time, never a dull moment. See for yourself (below) That is going out with the splash !

Nikki and Robert The Red House - Jamestown, RI

Nikki and Robert originally came to me for an engagement session almost a year prior to their wedding. When I met them, I already knew I would love them. They were so nice (down to earth), and were just a great couple to be around! So when September 11, 2010 rolled around, I knew I was in for a treat. Robert got a nice little gift from his wife to be (A Secret Red Boot Book).

The big wedding day began at Nikki's parent's home in Jamestown, where Nikki and Robert exchanged their vows, while having a breathtaking view of the Jamestown bridge on her parents front steps.

Nikki has a thing for blue, and I was not surprised when I saw blue everywhere! Robert I must say what a great job with the engagement ring;) Blue sapphire. After the ceremony was finished, we headed to their reception which was tented. I've said in the past that I absolutely love tented weddings because it gives the couple a clean slate to work with, allowing them to design their dream wedding day with their very own flair.

Nikki and Robert also had me provide my Photo Lounge, which is so fun because not only do you get pictures by me, but you also get fun and silly candids taken by your friend and family with creative hats/costumes. The Photo Lounge is almost like a "behind the scenes".

I was instantly drawn to the gorgeous archway that was under the tent, where the bride and groom had their first meal as husband and wife, design was by Stoneblossom, it was stunning! Nikki and Robert danced their first dance, cut their cake made by Scrumptions and mingled all over looking the beautiful Narragansett bay. I wish Nikki and Robert all the best and look forward to doing The Dress Session with them this upcoming winter!

Coffee Talk with Julie and Felix

Yesterday I met up with Julie and Felix at Starbucks in downtown Newport. (Check out my cover image from Newport Magazine from downtown). Felix being the gentleman he is bought me my fav....Tall skinny latte please! Yum Yum

Off we went to hit the streets of Newport. With a quick wardrobe change, smiles, laughs and oh yes one of us stepping on dog poo (not mentioning any names) we had a blast. We even got a killer shot at sunset, of course we had to rush into our cars to speed off to the other side of the island to catch it but it well well worth it. Did I mention it was Felix birthday? Well it was Happy birthday Felix and congrats you two! You have a year filled with love coming up. See you on August 26, 2011 at Regatta Place!

Amanda and Jamie Belle Mer - Newport, RI

Amanda and Jamie have been clients of mine for over a few years now. Amanda did a maternity session with me when she was expecting her little baby girl last November which was part of my Sweet Expectations package. (By the way Ana, Happy first birthday!) I also had the honor of photographing the rest of the Goodinson crew with a family portrait session. Check out some the images from their family and maternity sessions. In fact we have been following them for some time on our blog. Amanda and Jamie are on our "Where are they Now".

When Jamie proposed to Amanda it was only fitting that we would have the honor of photographing their Bell Mer wedding on September 18, 2010. Amanda loves the color purple! This is a trend I learned the first day I met her during her maternity session. She wore a beautiful purple shawl for her session and when Amanda and Jamie first took their vows in Vegas before their big wedding, Amanda wore a purple dress. On her big day her flowers where.....Purple with a beautiful vintage flair to it. Bridemaid's dresses?....Yes, purple. Amanda's gown had a bit of vintage flair, elegant, and hip. She did however change into another dress during the reception which made it easier for her to party it up and celebrate their happy day.

The big day starting at Bell Mer, at sunset, Amanda and Jamie exchanged their vows again but this time in front of their family and friends. Sealed with a kiss...the two where off to celebrate and party it up. Their first dance was shared by the entire family, all 3 children joined in while mommy and daddy had thier first dance. It is clear that these two know the secret of a successful marriage way before they tied the knot.

When I am asked "Do you mind giving up your weekends for your job?" I simply replay "I love what I do, so no not at all". The reason is clear, I get to witness and document key milestones in my clients life story. Thank you Amanda and Jamie for giving us the honor of capturing your families story and we look forward to the next chapter. See you in a few weeks for your holiday photos.

Holly and Peter Warwick Country Club - Warwick, RI.

Holly and Peter engagement session was photographed last spring. Holly had on a very "Holly" shirt. Vibrant pink, orange and blues...ummmm.....I saw this on her wedding bouquet designed by Golden Gate Studios. Her florals had "Holly" written all over them, vibrant and lush!

Holly and Peter's wedding took place on November 27th at Saint Gregory the Great and reception to follow at Warwick Country Club. If you remember that weekend, it was very cold, but I must say Holly and Pete where troupers. They both braved the cold and so did her wedding party. We where able to get beautiful outdoor shots and perfect sunset photographs. During our formals the theme was "we are on a beach and it is 90 degrees" he he. However, we where able to get past the bitter cold wind it was well worth it! We all went inside to party the night away. I have photographed past friends of Holly and Peter and it was nice to be photographing their group of friends again. Holly and Peter you are such a "warm" couple and very lucky to be in love with your soul mate! Congratulations!

Jessica and Kenneth Biltmore - Providence, RI

Jessica and Kenneth were married on September 5th, 2010 at the Biltmore in Providence, RI. Jessica and Kenneth already knew me well because they did two different engagement shoots! One engagement shoot was in Roger Williams Park, and the other engagement shoot was on a gondola in water place park.

The big day started at Jessica's parent's house, where all the women got ready, poor dad he was surrounded by beautiful women ;). Jessica slipped into her dress and was looking absolutely gorgeous. Off we went to the church where Kenny waited for his bride to be.

Jessica walked down the aisle, with flowers by Golden Gates Studio in hand. Vows were recited, and soon, the kiss took place. Cheers of joy and glee enveloped the church and smiles stretched for miles. After the ceremony, we headed to Water Place Park to take snap away with more fun photos. While we took pictures, Jessica's parents held a tea at the Biltmore for the guest before cocktail hour. We had our own little party, shooting and snapping away until it was time for us to go back to the Biltmore, and in no time, it was party time.

Mike Picard and I strapped on our gear and braced ourselves for this reception. The room was decorated with elegancy and Jessica and Kenneth are a class act, but they love to have fun, and thats what we love to shoot! Reason, Season and a Lifetime

People always come into your life for a reason, a season and a lifetime. When you figure out which it is, you know exactly what to do.

When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed outwardly or inwardly. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, or to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally, or even spiritually. They may seem like a godsend to you, and they are. They are there for a reason,you need them to be. Then, without any wrong doing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they die, Sometimes they just walk away. Sometimes they act up or out and force you to take a stand. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilleed; their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered and it is now time to move on.

When people come into your life for a SEASON, it is because your turn has come to share, grow, or learn. They may bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done. They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy. Believe it! It is real! But, only for a season. And like Spring turns to Summer and Summer to Fall, the season eventually ends.

LIFETIME, relationships teach you a lifetime of lessons; those things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation. Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person/people (anyway);, and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas in your life. It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant. Thank you for being part of my life.....

A little serendipity with Lindsey and Lareto!

Lindsey and Lareto will be getting married on August 13, 2010 at the Officer's Club and they wanted their engagement photos to be in a different setting from the images we'll be capturing at their wedding. So, we went to the city ...

Lindsey and Lareto's Engagement Session took us to Downtown Providence at the beginning of October, 2009. Being a typically beautiful Rhode Island Autumn day, we kept it casual and decided to stroll Providence, photographing all the way.

Ever since Lindsey and Lareto became engaged and began planning their wedding, it seems as though everything has practically been predestined ... written in the stars, if you will. I'll give you a few examples to show you what I mean ...

One day, not long after Lareto proposed to Lindsey, she was waitressing and at two separate tables and two different times, two of my brides (who, in fact, don't know one another), happened to be dining and seated in Lindsey's section. They each noticed Lindsey's engagement ring, commented on it and mentioned they had recently gotten married and suggested me to be their photographer! Taking that as a sign, she called me and we began our planning.

Another day, she was driving along and came to a stop light. While waiting for the light to change, she happened to look up and see a dress in the storefront that she thought was pretty. She decided to park and run in for the heck of it and try it on! It fit like a glove so, of course, she bought it!

On yet another day, she happened to be chatting with a friend and mentioned that she had always wanted to get married at the Officer's Club but couldn't without a sponsor ... he just happened be in the military and was more than willing to offer the couple a sponsorship!

These things have been happening all along during the course of their relationship. Even when they met ... a friend of Lareto's just happened to think that Lareto might find his friend, Lindsey, to be enthralling - so they met and the attraction was very mutual! I'm thinkin' that some things are simply meant to be!!!

Lindsey and Lareto Officers Club - Newport, RI

Check out Lindsey and Lareto's engagement session from last year, thats when I really got to know them. They have super chemistry and you can see from the pictures that dont take life too seriously and have fun with each other. Lindsey actually did a red boot session with me at my Biltmore event I held last year. Oh la la what a great gift for her husband.

For the big day I met the girls up at the Crowne Plaza where Lindsey struck a pose (she's now a natural in front of my camera). After the ladies finished getting ready we were off to the chapel. Vows, kisses and giggles all took place in St. Marys church, and they walked back down the aisle, now man and wife.

We headed to go take formals, and we actually stopped at Hooters, the place where Lindsey and Lareto originally met (I told this couple likes to have fun ;) ). Once we finished, to the Officers club we went! It was a nice warm August day, the 13th in 2010 to be exact. The reception was beautiful and we actually got a really big surprise during the wedding! Lindsey got great news about her job promotion, and everyone was more than excited for Lindsey and Lareto. All the best to both of you!

"Shots" with Lauren and David

GAMES, GAMES and more GAMES! Where you ask? Well the arcade in Newport silly! I met up with Lauren and David in Newport, Rhode Island, which is where they are having their wedding on Janurary 15, 2011 at Oceancliff, for their engagements photos. I knew when they decided to have their pictures taken at the arcade that these two were right up my alley. Lauren and David of course proved my theory right, and they had me laughing from start to end. After we finished at the arcade, we went to the bar next door and did some shots... no pun intended :) Lauren told me that at home, David is her own personal bartender. How convenient is that?

So over a few (I said few) drinks I learned that Lauren and David met at work, both being accountants. I loved the laughs we shared and can not wait till the big Day this upcoming January when they both say "I Do". See you guys then!

On September 4, 2010 I had the honor of capturing a day filled with love, laughs and more laughs. Jennifer and Justin said "I do" while their little guy Justin Jr. watched mommy and daddy exchange word of promise for a lifetime. What wonderful parents these two are. With no doubt they have found each others soul mate.

Last summer both myself, Jennifer and Justin got snapping with their engagements photo (sneak peak), after our session, I could not wait for the big day that would be celebrated at the Crowne Plaza in Warwick! I felt an instant click with Jennifer and after seeing both her and Justin cut loose on their big day I know why.

Jennifer started her big day at her and Justin's home with her brides maids. Jennifer decided to go "classic" with the bridesmaids wearing beautiful classic dresses and flowers by Golden Gate Studios. Off she went to meet her handsome soon to be hubby. I met up with Justin and his brother before the ceremony, snapped away! Did I mention that Justin is at least 6 feet and Jennifer is just as short as I am? So needless to say I needed my trusty step stool for this shoot.

After they both said "I Do" Off we went to Roger Williams park for some fun shots and then to the Plaza for a night filled with laughs and great speeches...See for yourself! Mommy and Daddy even got share a dance with Justin Jr.

Strike a Pose-Vogue!

Kim called me up a few weeks ago and told me that she needed to update her model portfolio, and she wanted me to shoot it for her. Of course, I agreed and we set out last week to capture some fabulous shots!

If anyone knows about fabulous, its my good friend Sara Faella, so I had Sara do Kims hair and makeup! Us three gals, a glass of wine and some style... all the ingredients to a wonderful shoot. We shot in John F Kennedy's old home in Newport Rhode Island where he also got married to Jacki on the lawn! Kim had an "in" for the mansion, so we stepped inside and almost began shooting instantly! We shot on JFK's desk, his chairs, his tables and his couches! I must say we rocked his old house.

It was an absolute pleasure to photograph Kim! She's gorgeous, spunky and of course she will kick butt with her awesome updated portfolio.

Noelia and Andrew Aldrich Mansion-Warwick RI

When I shot Noelia and Andrews engagement shoot last October in Boston, we were chatting, and I asked them how they met. Match.com was the culprit, and they had met because Noelia had posted her favorite quote which is from the movie "Meet Joe Black" on her profile. When Noelia and Andrew went on their first date, Andrew had instantly known where the quote was from. From then on, their relationship bloomed and brought them to their wedding day, August 28, 2010 at The Aldrich Mansion in Warwick, RI.

Sooner than expected, August 28th approached and the day started with a bang. At the end of the ceremony, doves were released into the sky, something I have never seen at a wedding before. Not only were doves released, but they also decorated the top of Noelia and Andrews cake. But doves were not the only theme, at each table, there was a different movie that Noelia and Andrew both loved. I thought it was very fitting seeing as they were brought together over a movie quote, and one of the tables was even "Meet Joe Black", which was partly filmed at the Aldrich Mansion!

As the night progressed, I was surprised more and more with all the different aspects they were incorporating into the wedding. One that I really loved was the fact that they had cultural dancers. The dancers did a few dances and each time they owned it! Anthony Crocenzi pumped up the jam and everyone danced until they couldn't any more! I had such a wonderful night at Noelia and Andrews wedding and I'm glad I had the opportunity to photography both their engagement session, and their wedding, also while shooting next to my good friend Mike Picard!

Rhonda and Joel - Where Are They Now

Tori and Brian - Where Are They Now

I photographed Tori and Brian's wedding in Naples, FL five years ago. This year, for their anniversary (and unbeknownst to Tori), Brian made a few plans for celebration. He was such a champ ... he bought Tori a new dress, booked a getaway to Vegas and arranged to renew their vows before Elvis himself.

We took a photograph at their wedding that we all loved. I made them get in the water for a few poses and, here's the part I LOVE. They took a picture mimicking the pose and reconnected with me, sending along the story accompanied by the infamous re-enactment!

First off I was really excited to phoptograph someone as famous as Kelly Ripa...  Ok it wasn't really her but Sonja resembles her so much that I almost called her fiance Regis ;)

I met up with the lovely couple at the old Fish Company and it was special for them because that is were they first met.  Sara Faella did the hair and make up on Sonja and while she was finishing up, I got hear about how Michael introduced himself to Sonja four years ago. He had one of his friends walk by and grab her butt, she turned around and yelled at him and Michael came to her defense and "put him in his place". A pretty creative plan in my opinion but I wonder if that friend is invited to the wedding.

Sonja has high energy and Michael is cool calm and collected and the camera picked up their obvious chemistry!

Sara Faella even had a little unexpected work applying some bronzer to Michael. Can not wait till June 10, 2011 where the two love bugs will say "I Do" at Squantum Association.

This is a fun couple to work with and we are looking forward to capturing their big day this coming June 10th 2011 at Squantum.

Marissa and Joe

Marissa and Joe invited me over to their house for their engagement shoot a few weeks ago. Their house sits on beautiful manicured property! To them, this was such a great way to warm up their house as they had only been living there for about a week. I was so happy that my pictures were one of the ways that I could have welcomed them to their new home.

I asked Marissa and Joe how they originally met, and they told me that they were introduced through their friends, who were a couple, and thats what got them here today. Soon we started the shooting and Marissa and Joe were rocking the camera. I noticed that Joe was slightly gravitating towards there fire-pit that was in their back yard. Joe told me about the fire-pit, and how much he loved it, so of course I wanted to take some pictures with them by one of their favorite spots in their yard!

Marissa and Joe loved being in front of the lens, and they truly were owning it! But soon enough, someone had to come along and take away their spotlight! Their dog! She was such a cutie, and you can tell that Marissa and Joe really loved their little new pup who they just recused! Soon, we finished and I was sad to go, but I knew that the shoot had been awesome, and the images would be too.

I can not wait until April 2, 2011 when I get to shoot more of Marissa and Joe at Crystal Lake!

Michele and Sean

On one sunny, but chilly afternoon, I departed for Roger Williams Park with my gear in the backseat and my tunes blasting. I stepped out of my car to see Michele and Sean, and I instantly knew that this shoot was going to be amazing. The weather had been bad all week but today god cleared the skies ;) We started walking around the entire park and snapping images every single chance we got. Within just a few shots, I could feel their smiles coming naturally and their giggles became constant. My A.D.D. kicked in and I was putting them in every little nook and cranny, including a carosel.

The shutter was snapping like crazy, but since we were traveling throughout the entire park, we had a little bit of down time to talk. Michele told me about how she originally met Sean... Sean is a West Warwick police officer but at that time he was security guard at the hospital she worked at. Michele told me that back then (with a giggle) he used to check her out. Michele said that Sean was too "scrawny for her" ;) Years later, Sean was a bouncer at the Harborside, and Michele, just wanting to have a fun night out with the girls, had her ID checked by Sean, who had grown since their last meeting. On this fateful night, it was Michele who was checking Sean out :) .

Michele and Sean are just a fun-loving couple who in my opinion, are absolutely perfect for each other. We got to talking about their wedding on April 2nd, 2011 at the Biltmore Hotel, and I'm already sure that it's going to be a hit! I know that the next time we meet face to lens, I will be honored to capture one of the greatest days in their lives.

Lesley and Stephen were married on August 23rd at OceanCliff in Newport, Rhode Island.

Lesley got ready at the Hyatt, which is ... OH such a nice way to treat yourself before our big day!!!

Stephen LOVES architecture and that's the reason they chose OceanCliff! He was drawn to the infamous arch and couldn't resist its pull. The structure is fascinating.

After the formals on the grounds of OceanCliff, we headed off to another stunning location ... Salve Regina, in Newport, RI. The building is truly lovely and makes a picturesque backdrop.

Cocktail hour took place outside, on yet another perfect day in Newport. There was a very special champagne toast and then Mystique took to the stand and the guests rocked the dance floor for the rest of the evening!

Mike Picard was served as the videographer for the evening - Mike's great at what he does and is always wonderful to work alongside at weddings.

It was a great night and I'm glad I was able to be there to share in it!

Karen and Justin at Belle Mer - Newport, RI

When I was contacted to do Karen and Justin's wedding on October 10th, 2010 (10/10/10) , I knew that it was suppose to be a lucky day. Oh man, was I right! I was so lucky to have Karen and Justin as a couple, they were positively great!

So how did the day start? I met up with Karen at the Hyatt in Newport, RI while Karen was getting ready. Kristin Greene was already there doing Karens makeup and thats when the day began. Not long after that, we headed to Belle Mer for the ceremony!

Karen and Justin said "I Do" outdoors on Belle Mer's lawn during the day, and it was such a perfect day for a wedding! The rings and the vows were exchanged, and Justin kissed his new bride. Everyone was more than happy for them as they walked back down the aisle, now officially wed. Check out the socks.. purple argyle sox!

I thought that the purple was going to end at the socks, but man was I wrong! The entire room was covered in purple accents! It is safe to say Karen loves purple. I knew I was going to be lucky because of the great couple I had, but I didn't think I was going to be THIS lucky. They made my job fun with their welcoming family and more then enough smiles to go around. There were tears, smiles and laughs. People yelled lyrics to songs and clapped as loud as they could after speeches.

Here is something very important but very interesting: Justin is a jeweler so I was not surprised when Karen had one beautiful ring on her hand. The hardware Justin had on his hand was to perfection and oh did I mention that Karen was sporting custom made purple earrings that Justin had made for her to wear on their wedding day?

Karen's cousin came into Justin's shop to purchase an engagement ring for his soon to be wife. They both hit if off and became friends. Of course Karen's cousin introduced Justin to Karen and the rest is 101010 history. It is safe to say Karen got the family approval.

Karen all that family traveling/moving when you where younger paid off because now you get to build your family roots here in Rhode Island with your husband Justin. Congrats to both of you!

Kara and Olivier at Alpine Country Club - Cranston, RI

Kara and Olivier's journey started in college on one fateful day. Once they got to talking, they realized that they had more in common then they had originally thought. Soon enough they were friends, and then started dating. Both of them exchanged vows on August 14th, 2010 at Alpine Country Club. While standing in front of each other, declaring their love for all of eternity, I bet they were thinking of those college days that brought them to where they were today.

Before the ceremony, Kara and Olivier met up for a little secret meeting. Their smiles when they saw each other were larger then life. It was so cool! Kara waited around the corner underneath a beautiful tree in her mother's backyard while Olivier rounded the corner to see his bride for the first time that day. The attraction between the soon to be newlyweds was visible as they walked towards each other. Magic! We took advantage of doing great photos of Kara and Olivier with their friends and family before heading to Alpine Country Club, where Kara and Olivier would say "I Do".

I hope that your "wedding number 2" goes wonderfully in Africa! Though I wont be there to see it, I know that it will represent your love in the best way possible!

Sarah and Brian

Sarah and Brian originally met in high school. Brian knew Sarah's brother, and one day got to talking and realized they had a lot in common. One thing led to another and in almost no time at all, they started dating. They became "that" couple, the high school sweethearts, went to prom together and grow up into adults together. Sara and Brian fortunately kept their relationship going all through high school, and on one fateful day on a beach in maine, Brian popped the question, and as you've already guessed, Sarah said yes! Their immense love for each became visible as we got into shooting. We cracked jokes and giggled, they reminisced on past memories as we captured images worth one million words!
Take a look for yourself! Oh and yes we made the best of a windy, cold, stormy November day.

Could you tell that it was very cold, windy and rainy? It was a real test of how true love and a great photographer can overcome any situation! Im really looking forward to May 21st, 2011 when I get to photograph Sarah and Brians wedding at Kirkbrae Country Club!

Jenalee and Jarad

Now before I tell you more about Jenalee and Jarad, I'd like to tell you why this engagement shoot is really different from the rest. For Jenalee and Jarad's engagement shoot, we traveled to the 9 most important places to them, and it ended up being such an adventure! So I have considered this engagement shoot to be, "The Nine Wonders of Jenalee and Jarad".

We started at their first home together, which they still currently reside in. This was the also place where Jarad asked Jenalee to take his hand in marriage. Although they always say, "save the best for last", Jenalee and Jarad saved the best for first. Their first home is the most important place to both of them. The second place for our adventure was Lippitt Memorial Park, where Jenalee and Jarad told me that they love to spend their mornings and attend the farmers market.

The third spot we encountered was Andreas Restaurant. They informed me that Andreas is special to them because whenever their is need for celebrations (or just nights they would like to go out), they almost always head for Andreas. Yes of course we stopped had one of those big sangria happy drinks Andreas Restaurant serves. The fourth place on the list was Avon Cinema. Jarad told me that Avon was just one of his favorite places to go with Jenalee. The fifth place we traveled to was Prospect Terrace Park. When traveling home from Thayer street, they love to stop at this park, and Jarad told me he loves to watch Jenalee look out over the skyline.

The sixth place we headed to was the Providence Athenaeum. They told me that even though they are new members, they will always continue to love it and it holds a special place in their hearts. The seventh area we went to was Waterplace park. During Waterfire, Jenalee and Jarad love wonder and stop underneath the bridges. The eighth spot we traveled to was the Providence Train Station. To Jarad, this is a place of comfort because once he pulls in, he knows he's home. The last place we encountered on the adventure was Capriccio's. Jenalee and Jarad were meeting their parents there, and we figured we might as well throw it into the bunch. I was sad to let Jenalee and Jarad head for dinner at Capriccio's, but I was so ready to go home and see the images!

UPDATE

What a treat it was to come into my office one morning and see that Jarad and Jenalee had sent me these flowers made by Twigs as a Thank You for spending the day with them while capturing both of them in their favorite spots.

I am beyond excited to see Jenalee and Jarad again on July 30th, 2011 to watch them exchange vows!

I got to the Boston Harbor Hotel, where Renee was getting ready - she was just radiant. Simply classic in elegance - the only way to explain the vision.

Renee's colors were purple and white and the shades she chose were perfect - everyone looked gorgeous!

We did the formals prior to the wedding and we totally rocked the city of Boston during the day! The day was perfect and the night was was scored by Mystique and everyone continued to rock the night away ... just a little louder and funkier!

Vegas Weddings?

I just got back from a really fun destination wedding in Vegas! While I was pursuing the city, It really hit me how many wedding chapels there are in Vegas. I just happened to step into one chapel, and pick up a pamphlet.

Anyone planning on eloping? I mean, I can't beat their package price of $70, but I am fun to be with! :)

Meggan and Christopher Exchange Vows in Italy.

Meggan and Christopher decided to exchange vows in Italy. When they told me that they would be hosting their ceremony in Italy, I was super excited! Being an Italian myself, that is the type of romantic ceremony I can picture myself having.

Their reception was not hosted in Italy though, it was at the beautiful Aldrich Mansion in Warwick, RI on August 6th, 2010. But, before we headed to the Aldrich Mansion, we met in Providence first to take pictures. We roamed around the city, clicking and snapping away with every opportunity we got! When we were finally satisfied with all our images, we rode back to the Aldrich Mansion, it was time to party!

When I thought Meggan and Christopher couldn't have been any cuter, they proved me wrong! They danced their first dance on the back porch of Aldrich mansion. Their friends, family and loved ones gathered on the outside patio and watched with joy as Meggan and Christopher danced for the first time together in the US, as husband and wife.

The night progressed and it was such a great time, I didn't think it could have gotten any better! That's when Meggan and Christopher brought me into the desert room! It was in heaven! Everything looked so good, I could barely contain myself!

This wedding really hit home with me, being an Italian, I honestly appreciated every aspect of it. From the ceremony in Italy, to the desert room, and the gathering of loved ones to celebrate a great couples vows.

I am so excited to design Meggan and Christopher's album and watch as their

Italian ceremony and American reception come together!

Casey and Shannon Tie The Knot!

Casey and Shannon wed on July 17th, 2010 on a gorgeous summer morning. I recently had done an engagement session (check out their session) with the couple around newport, and let me tell you, they are such a great couple! Casey then went and surprise Shannon with a little "something, something" a Red Boot Session. They exchanged their personalized vows in front of their closest loved ones at the John Brown House in Providence, Rhode Island.

Once they were officially wed, Casey and Shannon hopped into the Escort Limo and headed over to Gracies in Providence, Rhode Island. Shortly after, the real party began! They danced, and then they sang! Seriously, Casey surprised Shannon with a surprise performance! Casey later on told me that she secretly took voice lessons so she could sing to Shannon on their wedding day. How sweet!

After Casey's song, they decided to turn up the tunes! Victor from Party Time rocked the house, as usual, and the floor was alive with feet, from children to older couples. By the time everyone had to leave, nobody wanted to! Overall, I think Casey and Shannon would go down in my book as one really great wedding!

So who did the fab hair well...M2 Salon in Providence.
